Recent hopes that a new Caravaggio might have sensationally come to light have coincided with the 400th anniversary of the artist’s death and in the past few days, the news of the discovery has been widely divulged, in particular on a front-page article of L’Osservatore Romano: The martyrdom of Saint Lawrence, a work which belonged to the Jesuit order.
